This article will guide you through the key areas of Pricefinder so you can get up and running quickly.
Important points to be noted:
- Your account is set up by your office Administrator. If you have not yet received a login invite, contact your Administrator first.
- Your default settings control how search results and reports are displayed - it is worth reviewing these before you begin.
- Each step below links to a dedicated Help Centre article for more detail.
Please follow the below mentioned steps to get started with Pricefinder:
-
Set up your user profile. Log in to Pricefinder. Hover over your name in the top right and click User Details, then Edit User. Confirm your given name, last name, mobile, email, office name, and office website are correct.
-
Check your default settings. While in Edit User, scroll down to your default preferences and confirm your Property Search View, Quick Search Region, Radius Search Size, and Cover Page.
-
Understand the main navigation. The top navigation bar has four main areas: Search (property search, prospecting, market activity, statistics, phone search and map search), Analytics (Investor Scout and Property Scout), Appraisals (create, edit, share, download and track CMA reports), and Help (Help Centre, Integrations, and Training & events).
-
Use the global search bar correctly. The search bar at the top of the page suggests matching addresses as you type. The same street name can appear across multiple states - always confirm the state, suburb and postcode before selecting a result.
-
Run a property search. Click Search and use the Property Search tab. Select the correct state from the Select State panel on the left before searching - the available Search By tabs change with the selected state:

-
Read a Property Report. Click on a search result to open its Property Report. The report includes the hero section (photo, map, estimate, bedrooms/bathrooms/carparks), property timeline, Market insights, property details, comparables, zoning, land valuation and nearby developments, school catchments, and Perils Data.
-
Try Map Layers. From the map on any Property Report or Map Search, click the Map layers button to turn boundary, easement, and property shading overlays on and off.
-
Use Comparables Explorer. From a Property Report, click Comparables Explorer to open a side-by-side comparison grid of nearby sold, for sale and rental properties.
-
Create a CMA report. From a Property Report, click Create report. Select Sale CMA as the appraisal type and work through the 7 tabs to build your appraisal.
-
Create and share a Digital CMA. On the Appraisal & Print tab, click Create Digital CMA to generate an interactive online proposal. Use the Share button to send it to your client.
-
Track your appraisals. Click Appraisals in the top navigation to open the Appraisal Dashboard. You can see all your saved appraisals and, for digital proposals, view total views and total shares.
→ Appraisal Dashboard
-
Learn Prospecting. In the Search section, click the Prospecting tab. Use the filters to narrow results by property type, listing status, price, land size and more.
Note: Only the first 1,000 results are returned to the browser. Select a Report to get the full list.
-
Explore Market Activity. In the Search section, click Market Activity. Use the Sales, Ownership, For Sale and For Rent tabs to explore market data by suburb, postcode, LGA or plan.
