Investor Scout is a map-based investment search tool under the Analytics menu in Pricefinder. It lets you search listings by investment strategy and plot the results on a map with growth and yield filters.
Important points to be noted:
- Access: Analytics (top navigation) → Investor Scout. The page is titled "Analytics - Investor Scout (Beta)".
- Investor Scout is currently labelled Beta in the page title.
- Results appear on the map after clicking GO - the panel shows "Click 'Go' to update the map" and "No Search Results" until a search returns matches.
- Hover over any Investment Flag icon to see its name as a tooltip.
The Investment Search panel
- Strategy - dropdown with: Include All, Blue Chip Property, Development Potential, Discounted Property, Low Finance, Off the Plan, Renovator's Dream, Yield Potential.
- Listing Price - from/to fields.
- Investment Flags - a grid of 19 icon buttons for flag-based filtering. Hover an icon to see its name. The flags are: DHA, Renovator's Dream, Under Finance, Quick Sale, Deceased Estate, Subdivide Potential, Strata Potential, Off The Plan, Development Approved, Development Block, Scenic Views, Waterfront, Yield Potential, Government Owned, Mortgagee in Possession, Currently Tenanted, Close to Transport, NRAS, and Below Suburb Median.
- Property Type - Include All, House, Unit, Vacant Land, Commercial, Industrial, Other.
- Bedrooms - Include All, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 6+.
- Min. Suburb Growth (%) - blank plus 1% upward in 1% steps.
- Min. Rental Yield Growth (%) - blank plus 1% upward in 1% steps.
- GO - updates the map with matching results.
Map layers
Open Map Layers on the right side of the map to toggle: Points of Interest (ticked by default), Property Boundary, Suburb Boundary, Median Price Heat Map, Sales Houses 10 Years History, and Sales Units 10 Years History. Map Tools sit at the top right of the map.
