How to use Property Scout in Pricefinder

Property Scout is a map-based site-finding tool under the Analytics menu in Pricefinder. It lets you search for properties by suburb, council, zoning and land area, plot them on the map, and save properties to a list.

Important points to be noted:

  • Access: Analytics (top navigation) → Property Scout.
  • Results appear on the map after clicking Update the Map ("No Search Results" shows until a search returns matches).
  • Zoning options depend on the selected council - the Zoning dropdown reads "Please select council" until a Council is chosen.

The Quick Search panel

  • Suburb - free-text field.
  • Council - dropdown listing every council for the selected state, alphabetically (defaults to "Please Select").
  • Zoning - dropdown (defaults to "Please select council"; populates after choosing a Council).
  • Area Min / Max - land area range in m² (defaults: 100 to 10000).
  • Update the Map - runs the search and plots results.

The My Properties panel below Quick Search shows your saved properties list. Until you save a property it reads: "You have not saved any properties to your list. Click on Quick Search or Property Search to search for properties."

A collapsible Disclaimer section at the bottom of the panel contains the standard Domain Insight conditions and copyright information.

Map layers

Open Map Layers on the right side of the map to toggle: Points of Interest (ticked by default), Property Boundary, and Suburb Boundary (ticked by default - suburb boundaries display as pink outlines on the map).
