The Map Layers panel lets you control what is displayed on the property map within the Pricefinder property report. You can toggle property boundaries, easements, shading by sold date or price, and a range of property labels directly on the map.
Important points to be noted:
- All toggles are checkboxes - tick to enable, untick to disable.
- The Property shading toggle has sub-options (Sold date, Sold price, For sale, For rent) - only one shading type is visually useful at a time, though multiple can be enabled.
- When Sold date shading is active, a colour legend appears on the map: last 36 months (lightest), last 24 months, last 12 months (darkest).
- Property labels have a scope option (Current or All) and sub-options for what data to display inside each label.
- Use Reset filters to return all toggles to their defaults.
Please follow the below mentioned steps to use Map Layers on a property report:
- Open a property report on Pricefinder.
- Locate the map panel on the property report page.
- Click the Map layers button (the layers icon at the top-left of the map) to open the Map Layers panel.
The Map Layers panel contains the following controls:
- UBD - Grid (overlays the UBD map grid) and Contours (overlays topographic contour lines).
- Property overlays - Property boundary, Property easement, Selected property, Property dimension, and Property shading (sub-options: Sold date, Sold price, For sale, For rent).
- Property labels - the checkbox enables text labels on each property on the map. Scope: Current (labels only the selected property) or All (labels all visible properties). Label content sub-options: Street no., Name, Lot/plan, Vol/folio, Bed/baths/cars, Owners, Last sale, Area.
Tick the layers you want to enable - the map updates immediately. To remove all active layers and return to the default view, click Reset filters at the bottom of the panel.

| Darkest | Sold in the last 12 months |
Properties not sold within 36 months appear without shading.
Map Layers on the Map Search (Search home page)
The map on the Search home page (Map Search) has its own Map Layers side tab, which differs from the property report panel described above. It contains: Points of Interest, Property Boundary, Suburb Boundary, Vector Layer (ticked by default), Easement, and Contours. Below the checkboxes is a Vector Layer (Data) section with a WKT input field. The My Patches side tab sits alongside Map Layers on the same map - when no patches exist, the panel reads "Use \'My Patches\' to add and save your own regions of interest for future use."
