Pricefinder account administrators can send a password reset email to any user on their account directly from the Edit User Details screen. This lets an admin trigger a reset link for a user who cannot access their account.
Important points to be noted:
- Only users with Administrator Access can send password reset emails. Standard users do not have access to User Details management.
- The Send Password Reset Email button only resets the Pricefinder account password. It does not reset the user's Domain account password.
- If the user's login is linked to a Domain account and they cannot log in via Domain, they must follow the Domain account password reset process separately.
How to send a password reset email to a user
Please follow the below mentioned steps to send a password reset email:
- Log in to Pricefinder as an account Administrator.
- Hover over your name on the top right and click User Details.
- The User Details page shows a list of all users on your account. Find the user you want to send the reset to and click Edit User on their row.
- The Edit User Details form opens. Scroll down to the Other Actions section and click Send Password Reset Email.
- The system sends a password reset email to the email address on file for that user.
Disclaimer: This does not reset the password for the user's Domain account. They will need to follow the prompts to reset their Domain account password separately.
If the password reset email does not arrive
Ask the user to check their spam/junk folder. If the email is not received after a few minutes, contact Pricefinder Support at support@pricefinder.com.au with the user's account username and we will assist.
