Why can’t I print or export some older Victorian sales results?

When using Market Activity - Sales in Pricefinder, you may notice that the Print and Export options are not available for some older Victorian sales results.

This is expected behaviour and is due to licensing restrictions that apply to Victorian sales data.

Why this happens? 

Victorian sales data that is more than 10 years old cannot be exported from Pricefinder due to licensing restrictions.

This means that when your search includes Victorian sales results older than 10 years, the Print and Export options may not be available for those results. You may still be able to view the available results in Pricefinder, however downloading, printing, or exporting the restricted data is not permitted.

What you may see

When running a Market Activity - Sales search for Victoria, you may notice that:

• Search results are displayed on-screen. 
• The Print option is not available
• The Export option is not available
• An alert banner may appear on the results page advising of the limitation

For example, if you search for sales results in a Victorian suburb such as Melton VIC 3337 and select a date range that includes sales more than 10 years old, the Print and Export options may not appear.

Can I still export newer Victorian sales data?

Yes. Victorian sales data that is within the permitted licensing period can still be printed or exported where available. 
If you need to export results, try adjusting your search date range so it only includes Victorian sales data from the last 10 years. 

Does this apply to all states?

This restriction specifically relates to older Victorian sales data.

Other states and territories may have different data licensing rules, which means Print and Export availability may vary depending on the location, search type, and date range selected.

What should I do if I need older Victorian sales data?

You can still review the available results within Pricefinder where they are displayed, however restricted Victorian sales data older than 10 years cannot be exported, printed, or downloaded from Pricefinder.
